Let’s be clear from the get-go: contrary to what this picture and the title of this post may suggest, we are not giving Oliver - SkySQL’s honorary mascot - away next week! He was very good, though, to pose for this picture to help us better illustrate the size of this inflatable seal! We’ll let your imagination decide what else this photo represents. Or better yet, join us in Santa Clara, next week, at what’s looking to be a pretty exciting gathering of MySQL-aficionados!
That’s right, the SkySQL & MariaDB: Solutions Day for the MySQL Database and Percona Live MySQL Conference & Expo events are just around the corner!
So what’s the deal with the Consulting Lounge?
Well, next Friday (April 13th), at the SkySQL and MariaDB Solutions Day, in addition to the keynotes by Monty & David, intensive tutorials by guest speakers, and lunch – all absolutely free to attendees – there will be a Consulting Lounge throughout the day that attendees can visit.
The SkySQL Consulting Lounge will be located at the far end of the Mezzanine on the 2nd floor of the Hyatt. Expert consultants from SkySQL, MariaDB, and its partners will be onhand to share best practices for deploying the MySQL database and related technologies. Just pay them a visit at the Lounge for deep dives into the world of MariaDB & MySQL database deployments in an otherwise entirely relaxing atmosphere!
And if that isn’t enough to wet your appetite for next week, we also have two great giveaways planned for the Percona Live MySQL Conference & Expo:
-
The first 100 people to stop by the SkySQL booth (#413) at Percona Live will receive a SkySQL t-shirt and be automatically entered to win a remote control quadricopter. If you’re not sure what that is, just come and see it for yourself!
-
Furthermore, if a SkySQLer spots you wearing the t-shirt during the event, you'll have the opportunity to win an additional prize, so be sure to drop by the booth early to get a shirt!
We look forward to seeing you next week!
The SkySQL & MariaDB: Solutions Day for the MySQL Database was created specifically for MySQL Database Administrators, Application Developers building solutions on MySQL, Development/Engineering Management and IT Architects.
Don’t forget to also check out the other MSQL-focused events next week – Drizzle Day and Sphinx Day.
